School of Computer Science & Technology of Xian University of Posts and Telecommunications was established in 2009, which was expanded from the Department of Computer Science & Technology founded in 1994. In the past decades, the school developed quickly and brought up large account of students in the fields of information industry and telecommunication industry. Currently, there are more than 120 full-time faculties and some guest professors working in the school, and around 1700 students studying with us. The school contains four departments and seven Labs and Research Center: Department of Computer Science & Technology, Department of Software Engineering, Department of Network Engineering, Department of Foundation Teaching, Lab of Software Engineering, Lab of Embedded Systems, Lab of Computer Hardware, Lab of Network Engineering, Lab of Computer Foundation, IT Application Talent Training Center, and Software Engineering Research Center.

School of Computer Science & Technology offers three programs for the degree of Bachelor: Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, and Network Engineering. It also offers five programs for the degree of Master: Computer System Architecture, Computer Software and Theory, Computer Application Technology, Cloud Computing Theory and Application, and Software Engineering.

School of Computer Science & Technology gained fruitful achievement in science researches and teaching researches. The total research fee is over 27 million RMB Yuan in the research project including National Natural Science Fund, National Science Technology Research Plan, and National 863 Research Project etc. The school in charged with 3 National Teaching Research Project, and 6 Shaanxi Province Teaching Research Project. There are more than 1000 papers published till now. The project 40Gb/s SDH（STM-256）Fiber Communication Device and System was gained the Second Level of National Science Technology Research Prize in 2007.

School of Computer Science & Technology tried to carry out the teaching reform, including cooperation with companies, new cultivating models, and has setup a practical teaching system based on interested groups, open labs, students competitions and projects developments. The students of the school gained excellent achievements in the student competitions including National College Student Electronics Design Competition, National College Student Challenge Cup Competition, Altera Cup Electronics Design Competition etc. The school setup co-operations with more than 20 famous companies such as Intel, NEC, East-Soft, National-Digit, to training student with high engineering ability to meet the need of industry in a short time. The training model such as 2+2, 3+1 etc. is welcomed by the students and their parents. These achievements were reported by many media including China Central Television, Shaanxi Television, China Education Paper, China Youth Paper etc.
